HOUGHTON, Thomas 92, passed away May 22, 2018 after a short illness. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Gloria, just a year ago. Tom was an extraordinary musician, writer, and arranger. He played with the Richey Concert Band for over 40 years under the direction of his good friend, Henry Fletcher. Born in Detroit, Michigan, he was a band leader and wrote music arrangements for many of the big bands of the era. Tom proudly served his country with the Navy in World War II. Tom is survived by his sister, Betty Kramer; brother, Bob Houghton; and many nieces and nephews of whom he was very proud of. A memorial service will take place 11 am, June 14, at the National Cremation & Burial Society, 13011 US Hwy 19, Hudson, FL 34667. (727) 863-1000
