Age 53, passed away on Sunday, June 26, 2005.

He is remembered by all as a kind and gentle soul with a sharp wit, who enjoyed photography and loved spending time with his family.

He is dearly missed by his daughter, Sarah Houghton of Wilmington; his parents, John and Marie Houghton of Wilmington; his siblings, Kathleen Houghton of Wilmington, Nancy Lynch and her husband, Thom, Michael Houghton and his wife, Leigh, and Ann Dempsey and her husband, Cliff, all of Hockessin; and 8 nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial at St. Elizabeth R.C. Church, Oak and Clayton Sts., Wilmington, on Friday morning, July 1st, at 10 am. Friends may call at the church from 9-10 am Friday morning. Interment will be in the All Saints Cemetery, Wilmington.

In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to the Ministry of Caring, 506 N. Church St., Wilmington, DE 19801.¹

An Army veteran of the First World War. Mr. Houghton was a member of the Veterans of World War I. Barracks 158. and the Automotive Machinists Union.
Surviving are his wife, Catherine; a son. Rodney D. of Ephrata; a brother. Earl M. of Redondo; a sister, Mrs. Marvel Weidman of College Place, Whitman County, and three grandchildren.

A memorial gathering for Mrs. Routh Houghton, 73, of 4672 Eastern Av. N., will be held at 8 o’clock this evening at the Friends Center, 4001 Ninth Av. N. E.
Music will be provided by a string quartet of members of the Seattle Symphony Orchestra, of which Mrs. Houghton had been a patron for many years. She died unexpectedly August 12. At her request, no funeral services were held. Born in Seattle, Mrs. Houghton moved to Goldfield, Nev., as a girl and was graduated from the University of Nevada. She returned to Seattle in 1919. Her husband, Rolla, survives.

Seattle, WA, USA, William (Hank) Henry HOUGHTON May 15, 1925 ~ January 28, 2012 Hank passed away on January 28th in his home surrounded by his family. Hank was born in Seattle, WA to the late Frederick and Mary Houghton. Preceded in death by his wife of 59 years Mary Julia Houghton and his brother Fred. He is survived by his sons William "Billy", Randall (Janis) and his daughter Kimberly (Rick) Wahlbrink, 8 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews and his loving companion Emy Bogus. Special thanks to his compassionate caregiver Nelson Kwambai. Hank was an avid golfer, golfing at more than 100 courses around the country. He enjoyed traveling to Palm Desert and Phoenix, AZ and gambling at local casinos. A Celebration of Hank's Life will be held @ Bleitz Funeral Home, 316 Florentia Street, Seattle, WA, on Friday, February 17th at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Providence Hospice of Seattle, 425 Pontius Avenue North, Seattle, WA 98109.
