Aílene Houghton of Los Altos dies in hospital
Funeral services for Mrs. Ailene C. Houghton of Los Altos will be held at 10 a.m. tomorrow In the Los Altos chapel of the Spangler Mortuary, San Antonio Road at Lyell Street.
Mrs. Houghton, 44, died Friday in Palo Alto-Stanford Hospital. Her husband. LaGrande, said she was in the hospital awaiting exploratory surgery when she suffered a heart attack and stroke. MRS. HOUGHTON lived at 1138 Laureles Dr. and had resided in Los Altos five years. The family came to the Midpeninsula from Eugene, Ore., where Mrs. Houghton was active in community organizations. Her husband is regional sales manager for North Robbing Plywood Sales, Incorporated, in Los Altos. She was a native of Wisconsin. Also surviving are Mrs. Houghtons two sons, Thomas M. and Terrence C. Houghton, both of Los Altos.
