She was unmarried and lived in Bayfield at the time of her father’s death on 11 June 1908.
®3277 On 5 February 1910 she was 15 years old and living in Bayfield when she received a postcard from her cousin Isabella. On 20 Jun 1911 and in 1917 she was single and lived at 604 10th Street South, Virginia, Minnesota. She married in 1919 and they lived in LaPointe on Madeline Island on the 1920 US Census. In 1924 they moved from LaPointe to a house that Allen built on the north west side of Highway 13 overlooking Brickyard Creek in Roy’s Pointe. The GPS coordinates of the house are Map datum NAD 27 UTM Zone Conus 15 T 0668121 Easting 5189968 Northing. Allen died in 1927 leaving her with four small children. On 1 April 1930 she was a widow living with her four children, her mother Louise, and brothers Ernest and Philip on Broad Street in Bayfield.
®194 Her widowed mother Louise lived with her until Louise died on 4 February 1951. Beatrice lived at 133 North Second Street in Bayfield for some of this time. She sold the house her husband built in Roy's Pointe on 8 April 1941, and it burned down on 3 August 1987. She left for Los Angeles, California on 12 January 1946. On 24 April 1950 she purchased the LeBel house at 212 North Second Street in Bayfield, which she sold to Tony Kovachevich on 12 September 1953.
®162 On 13 August 1980 she lived in Medford, Oregon with her daughter Carol and her husband Howard Sutherlin. Later in life she was confined to the Beverly Manor Convalescent Home in Los Angeles, California. GPS coordinates of her gravesite are Map datum NAD 27 UTM Zone Conus 15 T 0665380 Easting 5186810 Northing.
Beatrice received a post card addressed to her in Bayfield, Wisconsin, dated 5 Feb 1910 from Pinconning, Michigan (near Bay City) which said “Dear Cousin. I will answer your postal card and was glad to hear from you we are all well. I will close in hoping to hear from you soon. from Isabella”
