     James Congdon was born on 4 March 1742.¹ He died on 2 July 1746 at age 4.¹

     Sarah Hoxie was born on 13 September 1731.¹ She was married by John Hicks, Justice, to John Congdon, son of James Congdon and Margaret Eldred.¹ She died after 1777.¹

     James Congdon was born on 13 October 1747 in Charlestown, Washington Co., Rhode Island.² He married first Elizabeth Sherman on 23 January 1773.² He married second Rebecca Rider on 2 November 1780.² He died on 3 May 1803 in Charlestown, Washington Co., Rhode Island, at age 55.²
     He was the last in his family to use slaves on his farm.² He was a member of the Committee of Safety in Charlestown, Washington Co., Rhode Island, and spent $1000 of his own money to support the Revolution. After the war he received a grant for about 1000 acres of land near Marietta, Ohio, as repayment.²
     He and his first wife Elizabeth had no children.² He and his second wife Rebecca had the following known children: John R. (b 16 June 1783), Catherine (b 15 October 1784), James (b 13 May 1786), Benjamin (b 29 August 1788), a son (d as infant).²

     Joseph Congdon was born on 13 October 1749 in Charlestown, Washington Co., Rhode Island.² He married Mary Sherman.² He died in Jamestown, Newport Co., Rhode Island.²
     He and Mary had the following known children: John (b 18 June 1781), Joseph (b 15 December 1782), Elizabeth (b 23 September 1784), Benjamin (b 26 April 1786, d 13 January 1788), Sarah (b 10 January 1788), Benjamin (b 5 October 1789), Mary (b 15 April 1791), Margaret (b 29 October 1793, d 26 December 1793), Catherine (b 5 May 1795, d 6 July 1795), Catherine G. (b 5 August 1796).²

     Sarah Congdon was born on 12 March 1752.¹ She died on 3 January 1774 at age 21.¹

     Isaac Congdon was born on 16 December 1754.¹ He died on 14 June 1758 at age 3.¹

     Mary Congdon was born on 4 December 1756.¹ She died on 26 June 1763 at age 6.¹

     Catherine Congdon was born on 31 March 1759.¹

     Martha Congdon was born on 5 April 1761.¹

     Penelope Congdon was born on 5 April 1761.¹

     Mary Congdon was born on 30 November 1763.¹

     Frances Congdon was born on 9 March 1771.¹

     John Congdon was born on 29 January 1773 in Charlestown, Washington Co., Rhode Island.² He married Frances Hyer, daughter of Vincent Hyer, on 6 May 1798.² He died at sea on 27 June 1811 at age 38.²
     He and Frances had the following known children, all born in New Bedford: Sarah (b 21 February 1799), Isaac ( b 28 May 1805), Elizabeth H. (b 10 March 1807).²

     Sarah Congdon died as an infant.¹

     Jonathan Hoag married Martha Congdon, daughter of James Congdon and Margaret Eldred, on 25 April 1768.¹

     Jeremiah Austin was born on 24 March 1730.^1,2 He married Margaret Congdon, daughter of James Congdon and Margaret Eldred, on 8 August 1748.^1,2 He died on 20 December 1815 at age 85.¹

     Robert Austin married Hannah Crandall, daughter of Jeremiah Crandall and Priscilla Warner, in 1727.^1,2

     Hannah Crandall was born in 1705 in Newport, Rhode Island Co., Rhode Island.² She married Robert Austin, son of Jeremiah Austin and Elizabeth (?), in 1727.^1,2 She died in 1752.²

     Joseph Austin was born in 1749.¹

     Hannah Austin was born on 25 December 1752.¹

     Jeremiah Austin was born in 1758.¹

     Margaret Austin was born in 1770.² She married Palmer Tanner.² She died in 1830.²

     Gideon Hoxie was born on 14 December 1729.¹ He married Dorcas Congdon, daughter of James Congdon and Margaret Eldred.¹ He died in 1805.¹

     Gideon Hoxie was born on 11 July 1752.¹
