He lived in Barre, Worcester Co., Massachusetts, and also in Conway, Hampshire Co., Massachusetts.1 He served in the Revolutionary War as a lieutenant or captain in the cavalry, and may have fought at the Battle of Lexington.1 After the Revolution, he served as a state legislator from Conway.1 He grew very fat, weighing as much as 406 pounds.1 He made grandfather clocks, and painted the Hamilton coat of arms on the back.1
