He was left a legacy in the will of his great-uncle John Perkins, brother of his father Thomas, dated 17 December 1601 and proved on 6 Jun 1601/02 (sic).1 He and his mother were co-executors of his father's will, dated 1 December 1629 and proved on 17 Jun 1630. He was left his father's messuage (house, barn, and other buildings) and land in Hillmorton, plus an inn there named The Bell.1

In his father's will, dated 15 September 1588 and proved on 11 May 1592, his brother John was left his father's house, barn, and other buildings, plus an orchard, a close (farmyard), "one back-side of the tenement and one half-yard of arable land with meadows, pastures, and commons thereto belonging." Edward Perkins and his brother Luke, and their male heirs, received "successive remainders". He was also to receive £40 four years after his father's death.1
He died intestate, and his widow was appointed administrator of his estate on 8 October 1619. Tuition (i.e., guardianship over minors) was provided for his children Judith, Francis, Alice, Edward, and Isaac.1

The will of Luke Perkins was signed on 1 June and proved on 28 June 1638. He was buried on 4 June 1638. Unfortunately, the records make it unclear whether this will and burial apply to this Luke Perkins, or to his nephew, son of his brother Henry. The will leaves legacies to a wife Margaret, who was also the executrix, and to his servants and the poor. The overseer was his cousin Thomas Perkins, and the estate was inventoried by Thomas, John, and Edward Perkins.1
