He was a tailor.1 His will was dated 20 April 1637 and proved 20 February 1646/47 by his son William, who was named executor. In it he left: "To Katherine, my wife, my two rod closes for the term of thirty years, together with the house and ground that my mother hath, after my mother's decease. To William, my son, the house I now dwell in, for the term yet to come. To Michael, my son, the house my mother now liveth in, after her decease, for the term of fourscore and nineteen years, if the said Michael and two other lives which he shall nominate do live soe long, the same to be nominated within five years of his marriage day; provided that if he have no children of his own, he shall have but his own life and his wife's in the house, giving my son William one penny yearly rent. To John, my son, my barn and ground behind the same, together with the new garden adjoining Robert Bragge's close. To my daughter Katherine £20. Residue to my son William, whom I make executor."1

In her father's will, dated 20 April 1637 and proved 20 February 1646/47, she was left £20.1 She was executrix of her husband's will, dated 14 May 1658 and proved on 8 Sep 1686, and received his house and all the household goods.1
Her own will was dated 3 November 1691, and proved on 28 May 1694 by John Crow, her nephew and executor. In it she names her brother John Bowditch, who received 1s; her cousin (i.e., niece) Joan Bowditch, wife of Michael Bowditch, Jr., who received a "great Bible"; Joill Bowditch, who received a pewter dish and a "great chair" at Limer (Lyme-Regis?), Katherine Bowditch, who received a clasp Bible, and William and Hannah Bowditch, who each received 1s, these four "being all the children [then living] of the said Michael Bowditch"; her cousin Persilla (Priscilla) Bowditch, daughter of her brother John Bowditch, who received a canvas sheet, a dowlace pillotie, and two middle coats; and other relatives named Crow. The witnesses were her niece Dorcas Bowditch, Dorcas' husband John Bragge, and Robert Bowditch (relationship uncertain).1

He was a clothier.1 His will was dated 14 May 1658 and proved 8 September 1686 by his widow Katherine, who had been named executrix. She received his house and all his household goods. The estate was inventoried on 23 March 1685/86 by "William Boudiche, Michael Buridge, senior, and Michael Bouditch, junior," and valued at £81 10s.1

On 2 November 1692 the estate of Michael Bowditch, who had died on 14 [sic] Oct in Broadwinsor, co. Dorset, England, was inventoried, and valued at £40.1 His wife Anne Bowditch of Broadwinsor was appointed administratrix of his estate on 3 May 1693.1
