The NEHGR article by Allen lists her parents as John and Elizabeth (Kendall) Eaton of Reading, and indicates that this information comes from "Old Dunstable" by John B. Hill. According to a footnote, though, "Reading Families" by Bucknam says her parents were Daniel and ____ Eaton, that she was born in 1671, and that Daniel Eaton was the son of William and Martha (Jenkins) Eaton of Watertown and Reading.1

He was an innkeeper in Lynn, Essex Co., Massachusetts, in 1732.2 He moved to Dunstable (now Tyngsborough), Middlesex Co., Massachusetts, in 1735.2 He was a farmer there. His farm was the first one south of Nashua, on the main road, with part of his land lying in New Hampshire.2 He served in several town offices and on town committees.2 He died intestate, and his brother Ebenezer was appointed administrator of his estate on 1 December 1772. His real estate was valued at £476 1s 6d, and his personal property at £142 10s 10 3/4d.2
He and his first wife Elizabeth had the following known children: Timothy (b 23 November 1733, d 12 August 1754), Elisabeth (b 16 December 1735), Ebenezer (b 1 April 1738, d 22 September 1827), Abigail (b 9 May 1740, d 28 March 1818), Sarah (b 6 September 1743, d 28 June 1798), James (b 26 October 1745, d 2 March 1832), Lois (b 10 May 1748), Jonathan (b 11 August 1750, d 11 May or July 1815), Hephzibah (b 5 June 1753).2,3 He and his second wife Mary had two known children, Rachel (b 18 April 1758) and Timothy (b 15 July 1759, d 15 April 1848).2,3
