     He is listed as a son of Raham Bancroft and his first wife Abigail Eaton, but Abigail's death date is given as 26 March 1728. Something's obviously wrong here.¹

     Ruth Bancroft was born on 6 December 1731.¹ She died on 1 June 1751 at age 19.¹

     Abigail Bancroft was born on 12 February 1733/34.¹ She died on 1 June 1750 at age 16.¹

     Judith Bancroft was born on 28 November 1735.¹ She died on 1 February 1796 at age 60.¹

     James Bancroft was born on 9 May 1739 in Reading, Middlesex Co., Massachusetts.^1,2 He died on 17 May 1831 at age 92.²

     Sarah Lampson was born on 20 October 1689.¹ She married Samuel Bancroft, son of Thomas Bancroft and Sarah Poole, on 26 November 1713 in Reading, Middlesex Co., Massachusetts.¹ She died on 3 January 1732/33 at age 43.¹
     She and Samuel had the following known children: Samuel (b 21 July 1715, d 15 November 1782), William (b 13 February 1716/17), Edmund (b 17 December 1718, d 8 September 1740), Nathaniel (b 17 March 1720), Sarah (b 6 February 1721/22), Jacob (b 10 September 1723, d bef 3 October 1754), Jeremiah (b 27 July 1725, prob d bef 26 March 1759), Caleb (b 17 June 1731, d 11 March 1816).^1,2

     Sarah Leathe married Samuel Bancroft, son of Thomas Bancroft and Sarah Poole, on 22 August 1733.¹

     Mehitable Fitch married Samuel Bancroft, son of Thomas Bancroft and Sarah Poole, on 24 August 1761 in Reading, Middlesex Co., Massachusetts.¹ She died on 12 April 1772 in Reading, Middlesex Co., Massachusetts.¹

     Abigail Eaton married Ebenezer Bancroft, son of Thomas Bancroft and Elizabeth Metcalf, on 19 May 1692.¹ She died on 8 April 1758 of dropsy.¹
     The NEHGR article by Allen lists her parents as John and Elizabeth (Kendall) Eaton of Reading, and indicates that this information comes from "Old Dunstable" by John B. Hill. According to a footnote, though, "Reading Families" by Bucknam says her parents were Daniel and ____ Eaton, that she was born in 1671, and that Daniel Eaton was the son of William and Martha (Jenkins) Eaton of Watertown and Reading.¹

     Abigail Bancroft was born on 9 November 1696 in Lynn, Essex Co., Massachusetts.¹ She married first John Hartshorn, son of Timothy Hartshorn and Martha Eaton, on 26 July 1721.¹ She married second Edward Pratt before 1741.¹
     A footnote indicates that John B. Hill's "Old Dunstable" lists her given name as Elizabeth.¹

     John Hartshorn was born on 20 March 1698.¹ He married Abigail Bancroft, daughter of Ebenezer Bancroft and Abigail Eaton, on 26 July 1721.¹

     Ebeneezer Bancroft was born on 5 August 1700 in Lynn, Essex Co., Massachusetts.² He married Ruth Boutwell, daughter of James Boutwell and Elizabeth Frothingham, on 13 April 1721.¹ He died in January 1770 at age 69.¹
     He was a farmer in Lynn End, Essex Co., Massachusetts.¹ His will was dated 16 December 1769 and proved 6 February 1770. The executor was Dea. Nathaniel Bancroft of Lynn.¹ He and Ruth had the following known children, all born in Lynn, Essex Co., Massachusetts: Lois (b 9 July 1724), Ruth (b 9 August 1726, d 22 September 1730), Ruth (b 8 August 1731), Rebecca (b 24 September 1733), Ebenezer (b 2 May 1738, d 2 May 1742).¹

     Mehitable Bancroft was born on 21 August 1703 (John B. Hill's "Old Dunstable" says 20 aug 1703) in Lynn, Essex Co., Massachusetts.¹ She married Jonathan Wellman on 16 February 1724.¹

     Jonathan Wellman married Mehitable Bancroft, daughter of Ebenezer Bancroft and Abigail Eaton, on 16 February 1724.¹ He died before 1732.¹
     He was a farmer.¹

     James Bancroft was born on 18 December 1705 in Lynn, Essex Co., Massachusetts.¹ He died unmarried on 9 December 1725 at age 19.¹

     Patience Bancroft was born on 14 July 1708 (John B. Hill's "Old Dunstable" says 14 June 1708) in Lynn, Essex Co., Massachusetts.¹ She married Samuel Gowing between 1729 and 1732.¹

     Samuel Gowing married Patience Bancroft, daughter of Ebenezer Bancroft and Abigail Eaton, between 1729 and 1732.¹

     Timothy Bancroft was born on 14 December 1710 (John B. Hill's "Old Dunstable" says 1709) in Lynn, Essex Co., Massachusetts.¹ He married first Elizabeth Farwell on 3 September 1732.² He married second Mary Mansfield on 6 November 1755.² He died on 4 November 1772 at age 61.²
     He was an innkeeper in Lynn, Essex Co., Massachusetts, in 1732.² He moved to Dunstable (now Tyngsborough), Middlesex Co., Massachusetts, in 1735.² He was a farmer there. His farm was the first one south of Nashua, on the main road, with part of his land lying in New Hampshire.² He served in several town offices and on town committees.² He died intestate, and his brother Ebenezer was appointed administrator of his estate on 1 December 1772. His real estate was valued at £476 1s 6d, and his personal property at £142 10s 10 3/4d.²
     He and his first wife Elizabeth had the following known children: Timothy (b 23 November 1733, d 12 August 1754), Elisabeth (b 16 December 1735), Ebenezer (b 1 April 1738, d 22 September 1827), Abigail (b 9 May 1740, d 28 March 1818), Sarah (b 6 September 1743, d 28 June 1798), James (b 26 October 1745, d 2 March 1832), Lois (b 10 May 1748), Jonathan (b 11 August 1750, d 11 May or July 1815), Hephzibah (b 5 June 1753).^2,3 He and his second wife Mary had two known children, Rachel (b 18 April 1758) and Timothy (b 15 July 1759, d 15 April 1848).^2,3

     Lois Bancroft was born on 17 June 1713 (John B. Hill's "Old Dunstable" says 17 July 1713) in Lynn, Essex Co., Massachusetts.¹ She died in 1723.¹

     Ruth Boutwell married Ebeneezer Bancroft, son of Ebenezer Bancroft and Abigail Eaton, on 13 April 1721.¹ She died suddenly on 5 February 1773. The church record states that "She had scarcely time to say any more than that she was not afraid to die. Thus died that godly woman."¹
     She and Ebeneezer had the following known children, all born in Lynn, Essex Co., Massachusetts: Lois (b 9 July 1724), Ruth (b 9 August 1726, d 22 September 1730), Ruth (b 8 August 1731), Rebecca (b 24 September 1733), Ebenezer (b 2 May 1738, d 2 May 1742).¹

     Elizabeth Farwell was born in 1715.¹ She married Timothy Bancroft, son of Ebenezer Bancroft and Abigail Eaton, on 3 September 1732.¹ She died on 23 September 1754.¹
     She and Timothy had the following known children: Timothy (b 23 November 1733, d 12 August 1754), Elisabeth (b 16 December 1735), Ebenezer (b 1 April 1738, d 22 September 1827), Abigail (b 9 May 1740, d 28 March 1818), Sarah (b 6 September 1743, d 28 June 1798), James (b 26 October 1745, d 2 March 1832), Lois (b 10 May 1748), Jonathan (b 11 August 1750, d 11 May or July 1815), Hephzibah (b 5 June 1753).^1,2
