In 1829 William M. Williamson received two deeds of transfer: one from his brother-in-law Jubal Jordan for two slaves and other personal property, and one from his father Henry Williamson, Sr., for five slaves and other personal property.2 His estate was settled in Bedford Co., Virginia. He left 171 acres to his wife Mary Ann; 159 1/2 acres to John Q. A. Wright, husband of his daughter Mary G; and 223 3/4 acres to his daughter Susan.
