     She had "a very fair complexion, light hair, bright blue eyes." She and Nehemiah "lived to an advanced age, were a very agreeable couple, engaging in their manners, esteemed and respected by all that knew them."2 They had the following known children: Josiah (drowned in the St. John River at age 4), Betsey (b August 1774, d April 1786), Sally (b 25 January 1776), Nehemiah (b 13 June 1778).2

Nehemiah Howard1

     Nehemiah Howard married Mary Stickney, daughter of Samuel Stickney and Faith Platts.1 He died about 1825 in Milford, Hillsborough Co., New Hampshire.1

     Isaac Stickney was born on 26 March 1741 in Rowley, Essex Co., Massachusetts.2 He was baptized on 29 March 1741 in Byfield, Essex Co., Massachusetts.2 He married Elizabeth Barker, daughter of Jacob Barker and Mary Spofford.2 He died in a fall from his horse on 15 June 1794 in Sheffield, Sunbury Co., New Brunswick, at age 53.2
     He enlisted in his second cousin Capt. Anthony Stickney's Co. of Newbury, Essex Co., Massachusetts, on 14 March 1760, serving until 10 December 1760. The Company participated in the destruction of the Fort at Louisburg, Nova Scotia, that had been captured from the French two years earlier.2
     About 1762 or 1763, after receiving his share of his father's estate, but before his father's death, he moved to Maugerville, Nova Scotia, (now Sheffield, Sunbury Co., New Brunswick), on the St. John's River, where he was one of the original settlers. Several of his neighbors and friends also moved there, including his sisters Mary and Sarah, taking advantage of land grants being offered by the governor. His lot was 40 rods wide, and extended back from the river several miles. His first house there was lost in a fire, along with most of their furniture and other possessions.2
     He was a carpenter.2
     He and Elizabeth had the following known children: Mehetable (bapt 29 June 1766), Mary, Samuel (b May 1769), William (b 13 April 1771), Betsey (b 13 April 1773), Benjamin (b 16 October 1775), Hannah (b September 1777), Amos (b July 1785, d at age 2).2

     Jonathan Stickney was born on 10 February 1745 in Rowley, Essex Co., Massachusetts.2 He was baptized on 12 February 1745 in Byfield, Essex Co., Massachusetts.2 He probably died in New York, New York, according to a British officer.2
     He was a Loyalist "like others of his class" and "thought it wrong to resist the government; that it was impossible for us to gain our liberty, and that if we could we should not be able to govern ourselves."2 He enrolled at Harvard in July 1773, and stayed until at least the spring of 1775, but left when the college was occupied by the government at the start of the Revolution.2 On 18 April 1776 he was jailed in Ipswich, Essex Co., Massachusetts, "for clamorous talking against the new government."2 He eventually went to New York, where the British headquarters were, intending to move to England.2

     Thomas Stickney was born on 26 January 1709/10 in Rowley, Essex Co., Massachusetts.2 He was baptized on 9 April 1710 in Byfield, Essex Co., Massachusetts.2 He died unmarried sometime between 26 September 1746 and 20 April 1747 in London, England, from smallpox.2
     He was a navigator, and master mariner.2 On 26 September 1746 he was in command of the Speedwell, transporting material in support of His Majesty's forces at Louisburg, Nova Scotia.2 He later became a merchant in London, England.2
     On 16 November 1744 he, with Zach. Brackett and Joseph Conant, bought a tract of land in Ipswich, Essex Co., Massachusetts, including a house, from James Springer for £100 12s.3 He later lived in Falmouth, York Co., Massachusetts, (now Portland, Cumberland Co., Maine), where he did business with Sir William Pepperell, among others.2
     His father Benjamin was appointed administrator of his estate on 20 April 1747.4
