Samuel Bixby was born on 9 September 1721 in Sutton, Massachusetts.¹ He married first Lydia Bond, daughter of Josiah Bond and Elizabeth Fuller, on 13 March 1751.^2,1 He married second Rebecca (?) on 15 February 1781.^2,1 He married third Huldah Pratt, daughter of Jonathan Pratt and Deborah Collidge, on 28 June 1789 in Sutton, Worcester Co., Massachusetts.^3,2,1 He died on 3 March 1809 at age 87.²
He served during the Revolutionary War, enlisting on 1 May 1775 in Capt. Isaac Bolster's Company.² He had the following known children: Betsey, Lydia, Samuel, Sarah, Sampson, Solomon, Esther, Anna, Molly, John, Simon, David.²
