On 16 February 1659/60 his father-in-law David Carwithey conveyed to him a house and lot in Essex Co., Massachusetts.1 He moved to Southold, New York, by 1663.1

In 1676 he and his brother Richard Curtice bought land on Staten Island, then part of East New Jersey.1 He eventually moved back to New England from Staten Island1, probably settling in Rhode Island.1
