     Naniad Curtice died in June 1778 from effects suffered the previous winter at Valley Forge.¹

     Samuel Curtice was born in 1764.² He married Rachel DeVouw, daughter of Jacobus DeVouw and Catrina Storm.² He died in March 1840.²
     He moved to Unadilla, Montgomery Co. (now Otsego Co.), New York, before 1790.² He and his wife Rachel later moved to Oxford, Chenango Co., New York.² He ran a flour mill there, on the Chenango River at Fort Hill.²
     He and Rachel had the following known children: William (b 17 April 1790, d 14 March 1855), Susan (b 20 July 1791, d 16 October 1864), Almira (b 1798, d abt 1869), Samuel (b 18 April 1799).²

     Polly Andrews married Joel Curtice, son of Joel Curtice and Thankful (?), in 1782.¹
     She and her husband Joel moved from Stephentown, Rensselaer Co., New York, to Windham (now Colesville), Broome Co., New York, in 1815.¹ They moved to Greene, Chenango Co., New York, in 1840.¹

     Rachel DeVouw was baptized on 12 September 1761.¹ She married Samuel Curtice, son of Naniad Curtice.¹ She died in 1842.¹
     She and her husband Samuel moved to Oxford, Chenango Co., New York.¹ They had the following known children: William (b 17 April 1790, d 14 March 1855), Susan (b 20 July 1791, d 16 October 1864), Almira (b 1798, d abt 1869), Samuel (b 18 April 1799).¹

     Caleb Curtice was born on 24 July 1646 in Salem, Essex Co., Massachusetts.² He married first Elizabeth Rider, daughter of Thomas Rider and Abigail (?), on 1 December 1670 in Southold, Suffolk Co., New York.¹ He married second Sarah (?) on 3 July 1716.¹ He died on 18 March 1730 in Southold, Suffolk Co., New York, at age 83.¹

     Elizabeth Rider was born about 1650.¹ She married Caleb Curtice, son of Richard Curtice and Sarah Carwithey, on 1 December 1670 in Southold, Suffolk Co., New York.¹ She died on 4 September 1711.¹

     Thomas Rider married Abigail (?).¹

     Abigail (?) married Thomas Rider.¹
     The Richard Curtice genealogy notes that another source names the mother of Caleb Curtice's wife Elizabeth was Abigail (Terry) Rider, but argues that this is wrong. There was a Thomas Rider who married in 1674 an Abigail Terry, daughter of Richard Terry, who was 19 at the time of her marriage and thus born about 1655. Since Elizabeth Rider married Caleb Curtice in 1670, clearly Elizabeth's mother Abigail could not have been born as late as 1655.¹

     Sarah (?) married first (?) Whittier.¹ She married second Caleb Curtice, son of Richard Curtice and Sarah Carwithey, on 3 July 1716.¹

     Elizabeth Curtice was born on 17 April 1673.¹ She married George Wolcott, son of George Wolcott and Elizabeth Treat, on 30 August 1691.¹ She died on 13 August 1741 at age 68.¹

     George Wolcott married Elizabeth Curtice, daughter of Caleb Curtice and Elizabeth Rider, on 30 August 1691.¹

     Elizabeth Wolcott was born on 22 May 1693.¹

     Deborah Wolcott was born on 3 June 1695.¹ She married John Taylor.¹

     John Taylor married Deborah Wolcott, daughter of George Wolcott and Elizabeth Curtice.¹

     Ann Wolcott was born on 11 August 1699.¹

     George Wolcott was born on 15 January 1701.¹

     Caleb Wolcott was born on 15 August 1703.¹

     Eunice Wolcott was born on 28 November 1705.¹

     Joshua Wolcott was born on 15 June 1708.¹

     David Wolcott was born on 3 March 1710/11.¹

     Josiah Wolcott was born on 29 August 1713.¹

     Sarah Wolcott was born on 3 November 1716.¹ She married Timothy Hollister.¹

     Timothy Hollister married Sarah Wolcott, daughter of George Wolcott and Elizabeth Curtice.¹

     Joshua Curtice was born on 12 April 1677 in Southold, New York.² He married Mary Youngs, daughter of John Youngs and Mercy Horton, on 8 September 1698 in Southold, Suffolk Co., New York.² He died between 17 September 1746 and 1748.²
     He moved with his son Benajah to Blooming Grove, Ulster Co. (now Orange Co.), New York, about 1735.³ His will was dated 17 September 1746 and proved in 1748.²

     Mary Youngs was born on 4 December 1676.¹ She married Joshua Curtice, son of Caleb Curtice and Elizabeth Rider, on 8 September 1698 in Southold, Suffolk Co., New York.¹
