     He was living in South Petherton, Somerset co., England, on 4 July 1573, when he was a witness and overseer of the will of John Thorne.¹ He was serving as a churchwarden in South Petherton in 1578.¹

     Alice (?) married Robert White, son of Richard White and Ellen (?), before 1578.¹ She was buried on 22 August 1596 in South Petherton, Somerset co., England.¹

     Richard White was born before 1578, when he was mentioned in the will of his grandfather.¹ He married Margaret Pittered on 21 June 1607 in South Petherton, Somerset co., England.¹

     In 1538 ("29 Henry VIII") Richard White, with his parents and brothers John and Thomas, entered into an agreement with William Whitdecombe and his wife Elizabeth concerning lands in Whitdecombe, Martock Parish, Somerset co. In return for a payment of £7 per year to the Whitdecombes they received the use of a messuage (i.e., house and buildings) and garden, 70 acres of land, 20 acres of meadow, 40 acres of pasture, common rights to pasture for 30 bullocks in Shaldownemede meadow, and common rights to pasture for 8 cows in Cowles pasture.²
     He was living in Hillfarrance, England, on 2 April 1559, when he was one of those signing the will of John Dyer.¹
     His will was dated 14 March 1578 and proved on 6 May 1578. He left his oldest son Robert 1 mark, having already sold him land for £20. His son Edward was left his "table board, etc.," after the death of his (Edward's) mother. His daughters Anstice and Alice were each left 1 mark. His son Robert "the younger" was left 20 marks at his marriage. His son William "the younger" was left "my inheritance of free land after my decease in default to Robert Whitt the younger." His daughters Emie and Grace were each left £10 at their day of marriage. His wife Tamsen was named executrix, and was to receive whetever remained of his estate.³

     Ellen (?) married Richard White, son of Thomas White and Agnes Richards.¹ She died after 1586, when her son made his will.¹
     Her given name may have been Helen.¹

     Anstice White married John Brome.¹

     John Brome married Anstice White, daughter of Richard White and Ellen (?).¹

     Alice White married John Chicke.¹

     John Chicke married Alice White, daughter of Richard White and Ellen (?).¹

     William White died between 11 March 1585/86 when he made his will, and 13 April 1586 when it was proved.¹
     His will was dated 11 March 1585/86 ("28 Elizabeth") and proved on 13 April 1586. His brother Robert "the younger" received his lands in Bishop's Lidiard, and his brother Henry received the remainder of his lands. He also left his brother Robert "the elder" 6s 8d, his brother William 10s, his sister Emmett Budson 20s, his sister Grace White 6s 8d, and his brother-in-law John Broome 20s for his children. The rest of his estate was left to his mother Helen, who was named executrix.² He apparently never married, as his will mentions no wife or children.²

     Thomas White married Agnes Richards.¹ He died between 1543/44, when his name appears in records, and 1549, when his wife Agnes was called a widow in her will.¹
     He was living in Merriot, Somerset co., England, in 1524, when he was assessed for taxes.¹ In 1538 ("29 Henry VIII") he and his wife Agnes, and their sons John, Richard, and Thomas, entered into an agreement with William Whitdecombe and his wife Elizabeth concerning lands in Whitdecombe, Martock Parish, Somerset co.
