She wrote poetry, originally under the name Mary Webb, and later anonymously, often for local newspapers. In 1861 she and Phebe A. Hanaford compiled a book of patriotic poems titled Chimes of Freedom and Union.5
She and Ezekial had the following known children: Allen Wellman (b 18 May 1844), Caroline (b 18 June 1846, d 24 September 1846), Israel Trask (b 8 August 1847), Wallis Ezekial (b 24 November 1848), Frank Wallis (b 9 September 1851).6,7,8
