He moved to Lowell, Middlesex Co., Massachusetts, where he served as Special Constable and Captain of the Watch.2 He and his first wife Eunice had the following known children: Benjamin (b 17 August 1820), Eunice Adaline (b 24 February 1822), Joseph William (b 9 December 1827), Mary Louisa (b 6 August 1829, d 3 January 1835).2 He and his second wife Sarah had two known children, Helen (b 9 July 1832) and Eliza (b 14 January 1835).2
