In 1930 they had a servant and three lodgers living with them, and in 1940 Dorothy's parents and sister Lena were living with them.5,7,8 About 1940 they moved to Ontario, San Bernardino Co., California, presumably with Dorothy's parents.8,9,10

In 1920, apparently after she and her first husband Leo had separated, she and her daughter Margaret (listed in the census as Ellen) were living with her parents in Pontiac, Oakland Co., Michigan.7 They were again living with her parents in Pontiac in 1930, apparently after she and her second husband Elmer had separated.8
