King Robert I (The Bruce) (of Scotland) was born on 11 July 1274 in Writtle, Near Chelmsford, Essex, England.2 He was the son of Robert Bruce and Countess Margaret (of Carrick).1 King Robert I (The Bruce) (of Scotland) married Isabel (?), daughter of Earl of Mar and Elen (Helen) Verch Llewelyn, about 1295.2 King Robert I (The Bruce) (of Scotland) and Mrs-Robert I Concubine (of Scotland) had a relationship in 1299.2 King Robert I (The Bruce) (of Scotland) married second Elizabeth De Burgh, daughter of Earl Richard de Burgh and Margaret de Burgh, in 1302 in Writtle, Near Chelsford, Essex, England.2,1 King Robert I (The Bruce) (of Scotland) died on 7 June 1329 in Cardross, Dunbartonshire, Scotland, at age 54.2 He was buried at Abbey Church, Dunfermline, Fifeshire, Scotland.2
