Duke Adolphus Hanover of Cambridge was born on 24 February 1774 at Buckingham House.1 He was the son of King George III Hanover of England and Sophia Charlotte (of Mecklenburg-Strelitz).2 Duke Adolphus Hanover of Cambridge married Augusta (of Hesse-Cassel), daughter of Landgrave Friedrich (of Hesse-Cassel-Rumpenheim) and Princess Karoline Polyxene (of Nassau-Usingen), about 1830 at Buckingham House.1 Duke Adolphus Hanover of Cambridge died on 8 July 1850 at Cambridge House, Piccadilly, at age 76.1
Adolphus's mother Sophia Charlotte (of Mecklenburg-Strelitz) died on 17 November 1818 at Kew Palace, Kew.1 Duke Adolphus Hanover of Cambridge became the father of George Hanover in 1819.1 Adolphus's father King George III Hanover of England died on 29 January 1820 at Windsor Castle, Windsor, Berkshire, England.1 Duke Adolphus Hanover of Cambridge became the father of Augusta , Duchess Mecklenburg-Strelitz Hanover in 1822.1 Duke Adolphus Hanover of Cambridge became the father of Mary Adelaide Hanover in 1833.3,1
