Landgrave Friedrich (of Hesse-Cassel-Rumpenheim) was born on 11 September 1747 in Kassel, Hessen-Nassau, Prussia.1 He was the son of Landgrave Friedrich II (of Hesse-Cassel) and Mary Hanover.1 Landgrave Friedrich (of Hesse-Cassel-Rumpenheim) was christened on 21 September 1747 in Kassel, Hessen-Nassau, Prussia.1 He married Princess Karoline Polyxene (of Nassau-Usingen), daughter of Prince Karl Wilhelm (of Nassau-Usingen) and Countess Karoline Felizitas (of Leiningen-Dachsburg-Heidesheim), on 2 December 1786 in Biebrich, Hessen-Nassau, Prussia.1 Landgrave Friedrich (of Hesse-Cassel-Rumpenheim) died on 20 May 1837 in Frankfurt Am Main, Hessen-Nassau, Prussia, at age 89.1 He was buried on 23 May 1837 in Rumpenheim, Starkenburg, Hesse-Darmstadt.1
