Mary Hanover was born on 5 March 1723 in Leicester House, England.1 She married Landgrave Friedrich II (of Hesse-Cassel), son of Landgrave Wilhelm VIII (of Hesse-Kassel) and Princess Dorothea Wilhelmine (of Saxony-Zeitz), on 19 May 1740 at Chapel Royal St. James Palace, Westminster, Middlesex, England.1 Mary Hanover died on 14 January 1772 in Hanau at age 48.1 She was buried on 1 February 1772 in Hanau, Hessen Nassau, Prussia.1
