Louise Caroline (of Hesse) was born on 28 September 1789 at Schloss Gottorf B. Schleswig, Schleswig-Holstein, Prussia.1 She was the daughter of Landgrave Karl (of Hesse-Cassel) and Princess Luise (of Denmark & Norway).1 Louise Caroline (of Hesse) married Duke Wilhelm (of Holstein-Sonderburg-Glucksburg), son of Duke Friedrich Carl Ludwig (of Holstein-Sonderburg-Beck) and Countess Friederike (of Schlieben), in 1810 at Schloss Gottorf B. Schleswig, Schleswig-Holstein, Prussia.1 Louise Caroline (of Hesse) died on 13 March 1867 in Ballenstedt, Anhalt, Germany, at age 77.1 She was buried on 9 July 1867 in Dom, Schleswig, Schleswig-Holstein, Prussia.1
