Jacob Taber was born on 21 May 1723 in Dartmouth, Bristol County, Massachusetts.1 He was the son of Jacob Taber and Sarah West. Jacob Taber married first Lydia Howland, daughter of Barnabas Howland and Rebecca Lapham, on 5 January 1754 in Dartmouth, Bristol County, Massachusetts.1 Jacob Taber married second Bethia Varney, daughter of Nathaniel Varney and Content Gaskell, on 5 May 1786 in Dover, New Hampshire.1 Jacob Taber died on 16 October 1806 in Vassalboro, Massachusetts (now Maine), at age 83.1
