Joseph Taber was born on 7 March 1678/79 in Dartmouth, (now Bristol County), New Plymouth Colony.1 He was the son of Thomas Taber and Mary Tomson. Joseph Taber married Elizabeth Spooner, daughter of John Spooner and Rebecca Peckham, on 12 August 1701.1 Joseph Taber married Lydia Gifford on 30 November 1738.1 Joseph Taber died in 1752 in Dartmouth, Bristol County, Massachusetts.1 He is also reported to have died on 20 December 1748 in Fairhaven, Bristol County, Massachusetts, at age 69.
