Thomas Taber was born in February 1643/44 in Yarmouth, (now Barnstable County), New Plymouth Colony.3,4 He was the son of Philip Taber and Lydia Masters. Thomas Taber was baptized in February 1645/46 in Yarmouth, (now Barnstable County), New Plymouth Colony.2 He married first Hester Cooke, daughter of Pilgrim John Cooke and Sarah Warren, in 1667 in Dartmouth, (now Bristol County), New Plymouth Colony.5,6,3 Thomas Taber married second Mary Tomson, daughter of John Tompson and Mary Cooke, on 16 June 1672 in Dartmouth, (now Bristol County), New Plymouth Colony.3,4 Thomas Taber died on 11 November 1720 in Dartmouth, Bristol County, Massachusetts, at age 76.2 He was buried in July 1748 in Dartmouth, Bristol County, Massachusetts.
He became the father of Thomas Taber on 29 October 1668.2 Thomas Taber became a widower with the death of his wife, Hester Cooke in 1671 in Dartmouth, Plymouth County, Massachusetts.5

Thomas was in Dartmouth, 1672; was Selectman, Surevyor, Town Clerk,Assessor, Captain of Militia; his house was burned in 1675, and he afterwards built a stone house near Oxford in Fairhaven, Mass. a part of the chimney of which is still standing; children born in Dartmouth, now Fairhaven, MA.5 Thomas Taber became the father of Lydia Taber on 8 August 1673.2 Thomas Taber became the father of Sarah Taber on 28 January 1673/74.2 Thomas Taber became the father of Mary Taber on 18 March 1676/77.2 Thomas Taber became the father of Joseph Taber on 7 March 1678/79.2 Thomas Taber became the father of Thomas Taber on 22 February 1680/81.2,3 Thomas Taber became the father of John Taber on 22 February 1680/81.2,3 Thomas Taber became the father of Jacob Taber on 26 July 1683.2,3 Thomas Taber became the father of Jonathan Taber on 22 September 1685.2,3 Thomas Taber became the father of Bethiah Taber on 2 September 1687.2,3 Thomas Taber became the father of Philip Taber on 7 February 1688/89.2 Thomas's daughter was married at wedding of Esther Taber and Samuel Perry on 23 October 1689 in Sandwich, Barnstable County, Massachusetts.2 Thomas Taber became the father of Abigail Taber on 2 May 1693.2,3 Thomas's son Thomas Taber was married to Rebecca Harlow on 4 July 1700 in Dartmouth, Plymouth County, Massachusetts.2 Thomas's son Joseph Taber was married to Elizabeth Spooner on 12 August 1701.2
