Princess Maria of Hungary was born about 1257.1 She was the daughter of King Stephen V of Hungary and Croatia and Elizabeth of Bosnia.1 Princess Maria of Hungary married King Charles II "le Boiteux" (the lame) of Naples, Sicily and Jerusalem, son of King Charles I (of Sicily) and Beatrice (of Savoy), in 1270.1 Princess Maria of Hungary died (assassinated) on 25 March 1323.1
Maria's father King Stephen V of Hungary and Croatia died on 1 August 1272.1 Princess Maria of Hungary became the mother of Princess Marguerite (of Naples and Sicily) in 1273.2,1 Maria's daughter was married at wedding of Princess Marguerite (of Naples and Sicily) and Prince Charles I (of Valois) on 16 August 1290 in Corbeil, France.1 Maria's daughter Princess Marguerite (of Naples and Sicily) died on 31 December 1299.2,1 Princess Maria of Hungary became a widow with the death of her husband, King Charles II "le Boiteux" (the lame) of Naples, Sicily and Jerusalem on 5 June 1309 at Caranova, (near Naples).1
