Prine Robert I of France was born in September 1216.1 He was the son of King Louis VIII "the Lion" (of France) and Princess Blanche (of Castile).1 Prine Robert I of France married Matilda of Brabant, daughter of Duke Hennry II of Brabant and Lorraine and Princess Maria von Hohenstaufen, on 14 June 1237.1 Prine Robert I of France died on 9 February 1250 Mansoure, Egypt, at age 33.1
