Count William II Talvas was born in 1179.1 He was the son of Count Jean I of Ponthieu and Montreuil and Beatrice of St. Pol.1 Count William II Talvas married Alice of France, daughter of TODO, on 20 August 1195.1 Count William II Talvas died on 6 October 1221.1
William II's father Count Jean I of Ponthieu and Montreuil died on 30 June 1191 in Acre, Palestine.1 Count William II Talvas became the father of Countess Marie (Jeanne) (of Ponthieu and Montreuil) on 17 April 1199.2 William II's daughter was married at wedding of Countess Marie (Jeanne) (of Ponthieu and Montreuil) and Count Simon II (of Dammartin) about 1212 in Aumale, Seine-Maritime, France.2
