    He is survived by his wife of 14 years, Jo Anne Shaffer Helmer; children, Michelle Helmer of Auburn, Glen Helmer and his wife, Lisa of Port Byron, Larry Helmer Jr. of Auburn, Corey Partin of Auburn and Adam Partin of Port Byron; brother, David Helmer of Port Byron; sisters, Grace Pettit of Union Springs, Hazel Laird of Montezuma, Gertrude Smith of Montezuma and Anita McBride of Port Byron.

Mrs. Partin was born in Second Milo, New York, and lived in Montezuma for many years. She had been a nurses aid at Cayuga County Infirmary, Sennett, until ill health forced her to retire. Surviving are her husband, Maynard; four sons, Robert, Richard, James, and Thomas all of Montezuma; two daughters, Mrs. John (Mary) Gallas of Indiana and Mrs. David (Kathy) Hise of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; one-grandson, Tim, who had always resided with them; her father, LeRoy Goldsmith of Montezuma; two brothers, Robert Goldsmith of Washington State and Earl Goldsmith of Portland, Oregon, one sister, Mrs. Leona Sukup of Oswego; 21 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. A son, Donald Parton, predeceased her.. A funeral service will be held at the Colvin Funeral Home on Saturday, December 13, 1986 at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be in the Butler - Savannah Cemetery. Friends may a call at the Colvin Funeral Home, Savannah, on Friday evening from 7 to 9 p.m.

  3. [S74] The Citizen Advertiser, Auburn, NY, Fatally Injured when he fell 15 feet from a second-story porch at 602 Tully Street in Syracuse at 4 o'clock yesterday morning, Edgar C. Ball, 49, of Cato, died late yesterday afternoon In Onondaga General Hospital, Syracuse, where be had been in critical condition since the accident. A fractured skull and Internal Injuries caused his death. Two-men on their way home found Ball lying on the sidewalk bleeding and called Onondaga General ambulance and police, according to the Investigation by Patrolman Brand and Acting- Detectives Edward Dillon and Harry Swain of Syracuse.nall, who was employed on the farm of Herb Titus near Cato, according to information obtained by police, went to Syracuse Saturday night to consult relatives at the Tully Street address about the will of an aunt. It was arranged that he should stay over night with them at the Tully Stree place. He went there early yesterday morning and retired on & cot on the second floor porch. He was heard to get up and walk around about 4 o'clock In the morning. It is believed he was trying to get in the house, but missed bis direction and fell over, the three-foot railing around tberporch.
    Surviving are three brothers, Elmer Ball, at whose home the fatality occurred; William Bail of Red Creek, and George Ball ot Auburn. The body was taken to the morgue and later to the funeral parlors of F. J. £ A. E. Snyder pending funeral arrangements.
