     Ann Bancroft was born on 17 April 1720.1 She married Joseph Root, son of Joseph Root and Sarah (?), on 8 September 1743.1 She died on 11 May 1799 at age 79.1
     She was named in her father's will, dated 24 February 1748, and received £175.1
