His gravestone reads "Underneath this stone lies mouldering to dust the once amiable and very desirable man Mr. Daniel Moseley who died March 6, 1777 aged 64 years."1
He and his wife Ann lived in Westfield, Hampshire Co., Massachusetts.1 He was a member of the Committee on Correspondence and Safety during the Revolutionary War.1 His will was probated in 1778.1
In addition to the children listed here, the Abbott genealogy by Lemuel Abijah Abbott names two other daughters of Daniel Moseley and Ann Abbott - Sophia, who married Rev. Ralph Cushman, and Lucy, who married Charles Whiting. However, records from the Bible of Pliny Moseley published in the New England Historical and Genealogical Register include as daughters of Pliny Moseley and Sophia Pomeroy a Sophia Moseley born 24 October 1796, who married Rev. Ralph Cushman on 17 October 1820, and a Lucy Moseley born 5 August 1794, who married Charles Whiting in June 1819. Thus, it's clear that Sophia and Lucy were actually daughters of Pliny Moseley and Sophia Pomeroy, and granddaughters (not daughters) of Daniel Moseley and Ann Abbott.1,2
