He probably moved to Tolland, Connecticut, in 1713.2 In 1726 he and his wife Theophyle moved to Bolton (now Vernon), Windham Co. (now Tolland Co.), Connecticut,2 where he had purchased 500 acres of land, and where much of the city of Rockville now stands.2 They later moved back to Windsor, Hartford Co., Connecticut.2
He worked as a weaver2, and served as hayward, surveyor, constable, lister, and tythingman.2

He moved to Grant's Hill in Tolland, Connecticut, about 1720.2 He served as treasurer for many years, and as constable and tax collector.2 He also served in the militia, and was an ensign in 1737, lieutenant in 1746, and captain in 1751.2
