     Elizabeth Rea was born on 13 August 1687 in Salem, Essex Co., Massachusetts.1,2 She married John Towne, son of Joseph Towne and Phebe Perkins, in January 1707/8 in Salem, Essex Co., Massachusetts.1 She died on 14 December 1711 in Topsfield, Essex Co., Massachusetts, at age 24.1
     The Towne genealogy spells her (and her father's) surname as Rae.1
