     Sarah White was born on 27 November 1733 in Wenham, Essex Co., Massachusetts.² She married first Oliver Hammond, son of Nathaniel Hammond and Bridget Harris, on 18 March 1756.² She married second Peletiah Cummings on 8 November 1770.²
     She and her first husband Oliver had two known children, Nathaniel (b 29 December 1756, d 3 December 1842) and Sarah (b 3 April 1759).² She and her second husband Peletiah had the following known children: Abigail, Oliver, Elizabeth (d young), Elizabeth.²

     Thomas White was born on 9 June 1736 in Wenham, Essex Co., Massachusetts.² He married first Lucy Fiske, daughter of Ebenezer Fiske and Elizabeth Fuller, on 4 January 1757.^3,2 He married second Rachel (?) on 13 July 1776.²
     He served during the Revolutionary War, first enlisting on 2 May 1775 for three months, seven days. He was listed as a private in Capt. Ebenezer Francis's company, Col. Thomas Marshall's regiment, on 1 August 1775, and again in Capt. Francis's company, Col. Mansfield's regiment, on 6 October 1775. After 1 January 1777 he appears as a lieutenant in Col. Mansfield's regiment.²
     He and his first wife Lucy had the following known children: Thomas (bapt 3 September 1758), Joseph(b 17 April 1760), Samuel (b 3 October 1762, d at sea 1800), Sarah (b 26 May 1765, d 12 June 1834), Oliver (bapt 6 May 1770).⁴
     He and his second wife Rachel had one known child, Lucy (bapt 6 April 1777).⁴

     Haffield White was born on 3 January 1738/39 in Wenham, Essex Co., Massachusetts.² He married Lydia Masters, daughter of Samuel Masters and Lydia Lee, on 7 May 1761.² He died on 13 December 1818 in Bell Pre, Washington Co., Ohio, at age 79.²
     After their marriage Haffield White and his wife Lydia lived in Wenham, Essex Co., Massachusetts,² and moved to Danvers, Essex Co., Massachusetts, before 1787.²
     He served during the Revolutionary War, first as a private in Capt. Porter's company, Col. Baker's regiment, responding to the Lexington alarm on 19 April 1775. He was listed as a second lieutenant in Capt. Francis's company, Col. Mansfield's regiment, on 1 August 1775. He was appointed captain on 1 January 1777, and was listed with that rank in Col. Rufus Putnam's 5th. Massachusetts regiment at West Point in January 1781.
     He was with Washington at the crossing of the Delaware, and at the Battle of Trenton. He was also at Ticonderoga under Gen. St. Clair, and at the battle of Hubbardstown under Col. Francis. He was chosen as an assistant to Col. Pickering, the head of the army's commissary department, and at the end of the war was promoted to major.²
     He was one of the proprietors of the Ohio Company, a New England land company that had purchased almost a million acres in what is now southeast Ohio, and was appointed quartermaster of the first group of settlers, which included his sons Josiah and Peletiah. Part of the group, consisting of 22 men including Haffield White, left Danvers on 3 December 1787, and arrived at Sumrill's Ferry (now West Newton), Westmoreland Co., Pennsylvania, in late January 1788. Another group left Hartford, Connecticut, on 1 January 1788, and joined them at Sumrill's Ferry in mid-February. The men built two boats, the forty-five ton Adventure Galley, also known as the Mayflower, and the three-ton Adelphia, plus three log canoes. They left Sumrill's Ferry on 2 April 1788, traveled down the Youghiogheny, Monongahela, and Ohio rivers, and landed at what is now Marietta, Ohio, five days later.^2,3,4
     He and Lydia had the following known children: Lydia (b 9 December 1761, d 28 January 1765), Haffield (b 4 April 1764, d bef 4 September 1793), Peletiah (b 4 February 1766, d young), Josiah (b 4 October 1767), Peletiah (bapt 20 August 1769, d 17 February 1832), Lydia (bapt 22 September 1771).⁵

     Josiah White was born on 21 May 1741 in Wenham, Essex Co., Massachusetts.² He married Molly Stewart, daughter of Jonathan Stewart and Anna Carey, on 24 October 1765 in Kensington (now in Rockingham Co.), New Hampshire.² He died on 1 December 1807 at age 66.²
     He served during the Revolution, enlisting in Capt. Winthrop Rowe's company, Col. Enoch Poor's regiment, on 29 May 1775 for two months, eight days. He also served in Capt. Parson's company, Lt. Col. Senter's regiment, from 10 July to 8 September 1777.²
     He bought land in New Britton, New Hampshire, in 1769², and in Chichester (now Pittsfield), Rockingham Co. (now Merrimack Co.), New Hampshire, in 1775.² He and his wife Molly and their family moved to Pittsfield in 1777.² He served as selectman in Pittsfield in 1785.²
     On 14 July 1789 he gave bonds totaling £2000 for the maintenance of Jonathan and Ann Stewart, and their daughter Lydia, presumably his wife Molly's parents and sister.²
     He and Molly had the following known children: Lydia (b 30 July 1767, d 13 March 1844), Nancy or Anna (b 7 May 1769, d 5 June 1836), Josiah (b 28 February 1771, d 23 March 1855), Molly (b 6 February 1774, d 20 March 1826), Jeremiah (b 4 March 1776), Jonathan (b 25 December 1779), Haffield (b 25 November 1782, d 12 December 1855), William (b 8 October 1785, d 3 August 1859).³

     Elizabeth White was born on 10 June 1744 in Wenham, Essex Co., Massachusetts.² She married Jonathan Cummings, son of Joseph Cummings and Mary Hale, on 23 May 1780.² She died on 28 October 1797 (or 1 November 1797) at age 53.²
     She and Jonathan had the following known children: Polly (b 15 September 1781, d 22 April 1783), Elizabeth (b 26 May 1783), Lydia (b 1 December 1784).²

     Elizabeth White was born on 19 June 1728.¹ She died on 19 June 1728.¹
     The Descendants of John White gives her birth date as 19 June 1728, but also gives the death date of her father's first wife as 7 June 1728, making the identity of her mother unclear. It's likely that at least one of the dates is wrong.¹

     Oliver Hammond was born on 29 October 1729 in Littleton, Middlesex Co., Massachusetts.¹ He married Sarah White, daughter of Josiah White and Sarah Prime, on 18 March 1756.¹ He died on 19 September 1758 in Rowley, Essex Co., Massachusetts, at age 28.¹
     He and Sarah had two known children, Nathaniel (b 29 December 1756, d 3 December 1842) and Sarah (b 3 April 1759).¹

     Peletiah Cummings married Sarah White, daughter of Josiah White and Sarah Prime, on 8 November 1770.¹
     He and Sarah had the following known children: Abigail, Oliver, Elizabeth (d young), Elizabeth.¹

     Lucy Fiske was born on 22 April 1732 in Wenham, Essex Co., Massachusetts.^1,2 She married Thomas White, son of Josiah White and Sarah Prime, on 4 January 1757.^1,2 She died before 1776.²
     She and Thomas had the following known children: Thomas (bapt 3 September 1758), Joseph(b 17 April 1760), Samuel (b 3 October 1762, d at sea 1800), Sarah (b 26 May 1765, d 12 June 1834), Oliver (bapt 6 May 1770).³

     Ebenezer Fiske was born on 22 March 1679 in Wenham, Essex Co., Massachusetts.³ He married first Elizabeth Fuller, daughter of Jacob Fuller and Mary Bacon, on 24 March 1710 in Wenham, Essex Co., Massachusetts.^3,2 He married second Martha (?) on 1 December 1733.³ He died on 30 September 1771 at age 92.³

     Elizabeth Fuller was born in 1686.¹ She married Ebenezer Fiske, son of William Fiske and Sarah Kilham, on 24 March 1710 in Wenham, Essex Co., Massachusetts.^1,2 She died on 25 August 1732.¹

     Rachel (?) married first (?) Smith.¹ She married second Thomas White, son of Josiah White and Sarah Prime, on 13 July 1776.¹
     She and Thomas had one known child, Lucy (bapt 6 April 1777).²

     Lydia Masters married Haffield White, son of Josiah White and Sarah Prime, on 7 May 1761.¹
     After their marriage she and her husband Haffield lived in Wenham, Essex Co., Massachusetts.¹ They had the following known children: Lydia (b 9 December 1761, d 28 January 1765), Haffield (b 4 April 1764, d bef 4 September 1793), Peletiah (b 4 February 1766, d young), Josiah (b 4 October 1767), Peletiah (bapt 20 August 1769, d 17 February 1832), Lydia (bapt 22 September 1771).²

     Molly Stewart was born on 4 February 1747 in Hampton Falls (now in Rockingham Co.), New Hampshire.¹ She married Josiah White, son of Josiah White and Sarah Prime, on 24 October 1765 in Kensington (now in Rockingham Co.), New Hampshire.¹ She died on 17 December 1799 in Pittsfield, Rockingham Co. (now Merrimack Co.), New Hampshire, at age 52.¹
     Her given name may have been Mary.¹ She and her husband Josiah and their family moved to Pittsfield, Rockingham Co. (now Merrimack Co.), New Hampshire, in 1777.¹ They had the following known children: Lydia (b 30 July 1767, d 13 March 1844), Nancy or Anna (b 7 May 1769, d 5 June 1836), Josiah (b 28 February 1771, d 23 March 1855), Molly (b 6 February 1774, d 20 March 1826), Jeremiah (b 4 March 1776), Jonathan (b 25 December 1779), Haffield (b 25 November 1782, d 12 December 1855), William (b 8 October 1785, d 3 August 1859).²

     Jonathan Cummings was baptized on 26 July 1747 in Topsfield, Essex Co., Massachusetts.¹ He married first Elizabeth White, daughter of Josiah White and Sarah Prime, on 23 May 1780.¹ He married second Lucy Kimball on 20 December 1798.¹
     He and his first wife Elizabeth had the following known children: Polly (b 15 September 1781, d 22 April 1783), Elizabeth (b 26 May 1783), Lydia (b 1 December 1784).¹

     Samuel Batchelder married Hannah White, daughter of Thomas White and Martha Fiske, on 19 February 1729/30.¹
