He came to the United States in 1882.5,6
In 1910 he and his wife Marie were living in a house they owned at 4723 Indiana St. in Chicago, Cook Co., Illinois.5,2 They were living at 4732 Ferdinand St. in Cook Co. in 1915.7 They moved to a rented house at 4647 Race Ave. in Chicago by 1918, and lived there until 1920.8,9,10 In October 1920 they were back on Ferdinand St., at 4657 Ferdinand St.11, and by 1930 had moved again, into a rented house at 628 DuBois Blvd. in Brookfield, Cook Co., Illinois. Their divorced daughter Bertha Hollingsworth, and her daughter Ruth, were living with them in 1930.6
