     He settled in Southington, Hartford Co., Connecticut.1 In his will, dated 7 October 1762, he left his son William his 20-acre house lot, plus 15 additional acres. The rest of his estate was to go to his son John, provided he pay 5 shillings to the heirs of his deceased son Samuel, 40 shillings to the heirs of his deceased daughter Margaret, 9 shillings to the heirs of his deceased son Edward, 5 shillings to his son Thomas, and 20 shillings to his daughter Sarah Crouch.1 His estate was valued at £257 8s 7d.1

John Greet1

b. about 1640, d. before February 1687/88
     John Greet was born about 1640.1 He married Mary Hart, daughter of Edmund Hart, sometime between February 1665/66 and September 1669, probably in Westfield, Hampshire Co. (now Hampden Co.), Massachusetts.1 He died before February 1687/88.1
     He moved from Newfoundland to Boston, Suffolk Co., Massachusetts, about 1659.1 To pay for his move, he was indentured to John Stone of Hull for three years. In 1662 Stone refused to release him from his contract on the grounds that he had traveled to Salem for nine days without permission to visit a relative. Greet petitioned the Massachusetts Governor to obtain his release, saying that he had been whipped when he returned, and that that was sufficient punishment.1
     In February 1665/66 he was living in Hartford, Hartford Co., Connecticut, where he was working as a servant to John Allyn.1
     On 16 September 1669 he and his brother-in-law Edward Neal were each granted five acres in Westfield, Hampshire Co. (now Hampden Co.), Massachusetts.1 He and Edward also owned land in Westfield that had been part of their father-in-law Edmund Neal's estate.1 Soon afterwards he sold his house and six-acre home lot, plus two other parcels of six acres and one acre, to Joseph Whiting.1
     He was living in Southold, Long Island, by September 1675, when he was taxed there on 30 acres of land, plus various livestock.1

     Elisha Hart was born by 1658 (and probably before 1651).1 He died before 9 October 1683 in Windsor, Hartford Co., Connecticut.1
     On 30 September 1672, during the inquiry into his father's death, he was found as "being weak to manage his own matters" and chose "his uncle George Phelps" as his guardian. When his father's estate was probated, he was described as "very weak for abilities of his mind ... being crazy in his body," and it was ordered that no one was to "trade or bargain" with him without his guardian's consent.1
     His estate was inventoried in Windsor, Hartford Co., Connecticut, on 9 October 1683, and in Westfield, Hampshire Co. (now Hampden Co.), Massachusetts, on 4 December 1683. His brothers-in-law Edward Neale and Thomas Loveland were appointed administrators, and the court ordered that the estate be divided equally among his eight sisters.1

     Some sources give her surname as Daniel, apparently based on an entry by Mary Ella (Comstock) Vietz in the History of The National Society of Daughters of Founders and Patriots of America for the fifteenth year, ending May 13, 1913.2
