His will was dated 22 June 1833 in Westport, Bristol Co., Massachusetts, and proved on 4 February 1834. It names his son Robert, children of his deceased son Reuben, daughter Mary Allen, and granddaughter Ruth Waite.1 He and Ruth had the following known children: Reuben (b 21 January 1773, d 30 December 1831), Robert (b abt 1777, d 30 April 1849), Mary (b 30 January 1782).1

He served during the Revolutionary War.1 His will was dated 22 March 1812 in Westport, Bristol Co., Massachusetts, and proved on 1 May 1832. It mentions his wife Martha, who was to receive "her hon'd father Benjamin Sowle's estate," his daughter Sibbel White, and his son Ichabod, who was named executor.1

He died intestate, and his estate was inventoried on 8 March 1822 in Dighton, Bristol Co., Massachusetts. John Lawton was appointed administrator of his estate after his widow Meribah declined the position.1 He and Meribah had no known children.1
