His will was dated "28 1mo 'Jan.' 1792" in Westport, Bristol Co., Massachusetts, and proved on 7 May 1793. In it he names his son Lemuel and grandchildren Gabriel Hix, Joseph Sowle, and Mary Sowle.1

He and his wife Elizabeth lived in Tiverton, Newport Co., Rhode Island.1 On 26 March 1792 they sold the farm in Westport, Bristol Co., Massachusetts, that he had received from his grandfather Gabriel.1

His will was dated 20 February 1792 in Westport, Bristol Co., Massachusetts, and proved on 3 May 1803. In it he mentions his wife Meribah, daughter Martha Kirby, deceased daughter Patience Kirby and her children, and son-in-law Benjamin Davol who was named executor.2

His will was dated 15 December 1788 and proved on 5 May 1789. It names his wife Sarah, sons Jacob, Oliver, and Benjamin, and daughter Phebe Church.2

His will was dated 4 February 1775 ("4 2mo 'called Feb.' 1775") and proved on 2 January 1781. In it he mentioned his wife Elizabeth, sons Joshua and Daniel, who was named executor, daughter Rachel Case, and grandsons Caleb, Jacob, and Willkason, sons of Joshua.1
