Jonas Powers was born on 19 July 1719 in Littleton, Middlesex Co., Massachusetts.¹ He married Mary Tryon, daughter of Abel Tryon and Abiel Harris, on 12 April 1739 in Middletown, Hartford Co. (now Middlesex Co.), Connecticut.¹ He died on 28 September 1760 at age 41 "at the Northward Last War."¹

Martha (?) married Aaron Tryon, son of Abiel Tryon and Hannah Northway.¹ She apparently left her husband Aaron in 1815 or 1816. A notice he placed in the American Mercury states that she "for reasons unknown, and without provocation, left my house and board for several months past," and disclaims responsibility for any debts made by her.²
