On 11 July 1726 he deeded three acres of land in Wethersfield, Hartford Co., Connecticut, to Thomas Harris. In return, he received from Harris land in Middletown, Hartford Co. (now Middlesex Co.), Connecticut.1 In January 1734/35 he sold a house and two acres of land in Wethersfield to Eliphalet Dickinson.1 He probably moved to New Fairfield, Fairfield Co., Connecticut, shortly afterward.1 On 27 January 1738 he bought land in New Fairfield from Nathan Hollister.2

On 4 August 1712, after his father's death, he chose Abraham Kilbourn as his guardian.1
On 14 February 1720/21 he sold two acres of land in Wethersfield, Hartford Co., Connecticut, to Jacob Griswold Sr.1 On 23 January 1728/29 he bought land in Wethersfield with a house, barn, and orchard, from his brother-in-law Josiah Atwood.1 On 17 April 1732 he bought 17 acres along the southern boundary of Wethersfield.1 On 21 July 1733 he bought two more acres adjoining his property in Wethersfield.1 He was then identified as a shipwright.1
His will was dated 10 December 1767 and proved on 2 February 1768. In it he named his wife Hannah, sons Eli, William, Moses, George, Abijah, and Aaron, and daughter Hannah.1 His estate was inventoried on 27 April 1768, with a total value of £390 5s 8d.1
