     Iva Dora Allen was born on 6 April 1887 in Cooper, Kalamazoo Co., Michigan.4 She married William Thornton Nicholls, son of Charles Nicholls and Martha Whitmore, on 26 January 1906 in Chicago, Cook Co., Illinois.2 She died on 12 April 1978 in Oak Lawn, Cook Co., Illinois, at age 91.3 She was buried on 15 April 1978 at Beverly Cemetery in Blue Island, Cook Co., Illinois.3
     She and her husband William lived with her parents, then with her mother after her father's death, from at least 1910 to 1930 in Chicago, Cook Co., Illinois.5,6,7 By 1940 they were renting their own house in Chicago, at 6547 Yale Ave., and Iva's mother was living with them.8

     Jessie Irene Allen was born on 23 March 1901 in Illinois.1 She married Edward Nicholls on 26 July 1920 in Chicago, Cook Co., Illinois.3 She died on 31 July 1974 at St. Anthony's Medical Center in Crown Point, Lake Co., Indiana, at age 73 after a heart attack.2,4 She was buried on 3 August 1974 at Maplewood Memorial Cemetery in Crown Point, Lake Co., Indiana.4,2,5

Hart, on 26 July 1920 in Chicago, Cook Co., Illinois.1 He died on 7 January 1967 at the Edward Hines Jr. V.A. Hospital in Hines, Cook Co., Illinois, at age 68.4 He was buried on 9 January 1967 at Maplewood Memorial Cemetery in Crown Point, Lake Co., Indiana.4,5
     He and his wife Jessie are listed in Crown Point, Lake Co., Indiana, in the 1930 census3, and in Winfield Twp., Lake Co., Indiana, in the 1940 census.6 They moved to the area of Hebron, Porter Co., Indiana, about 1952.7
     He was a veteran of World War I.4 He worked for the Letz Manufacturing Co. in Crown Point for 24 years, and also had a farm.4
