Augusta (of Saxe-Gotha-Altenberg) was born on 30 November 1719 in Gotha.2 She was the daughter of Frederick II (of Saxe-Gotha) and Princess Magdalene Auguste (of Anhalt).2 Augusta (of Saxe-Gotha-Altenberg) married Prince Frederick Lewis (of Wales), son of King George II (of England) and Caroline (?), on 27 April 1736 at St. James Palace, Westminster, Middlesex, England.2,1 Augusta (of Saxe-Gotha-Altenberg) died on 8 February 1772 at Carlton House, Westminster, Middlesex, England, at age 52.2 She was buried on 15 February 1772 at Westminster Abbey, Westminster, Middlesex, England.2
