Princess Sofie (of Mecklenburg Schwerin) was born before 12 June 1508 in Schwerin, Mecklenburg-Schwerin, Germany.1 She was the daughter of Duke Heinrich III, 'The Peaceful' (of Mecklenburg Schwerin) and Ursule Duchess (of Mecklenburg-Schwerin).1 Princess Sofie (of Mecklenburg Schwerin) married Duke Ernst (of Brunswick-Luneburg), son of Duke Heinrich 'der Mittlere' (of Brunswick-Luneburg) and Princess Margarethe (of Saxony), on 2 June 1528 in Schwerin, Mecklenburg-Schwerin, Germany.1 Princess Sofie (of Mecklenburg Schwerin) died on 17 June 1541.1
