Princess Elisabeth Amalie (of Hesse-Darmstadt)

Princess Elisabeth Amalie (of Hesse-Darmstadt) was born on 30 March 1635 in Giessen, Oberhessen, Hesse-Darmstadt.¹ She was the daughter of Landgrave Georg II (of Hesse-Darmstadt) and Princess Sofie Eleonore (of Saxony).¹ Princess Elisabeth Amalie (of Hesse-Darmstadt) was christened on 5 April 1635 in Giessen, Oberhessen, Hesse-Darmstadt.¹ She married Elector Philipp Wilhelm (of Palatine), son of Count Palatine Wolfgang Wilhelm (of Neuburg) and Princess Magdalene (of Bavaria), on 3 September 1653 in Langenschwalbach, Hessen-Nassau, Prussia.¹ Princess Elisabeth Amalie (of Hesse-Darmstadt) died on 4 August 1709 in Schwaben, Bavaria, at age 74.¹ She was buried in Neuburg A.d., Schwaben, Bavaria.¹
