- E-mail message, Yuri Dorn to RCJ, 5 August 2016, Hi Robert,
You were asking me question regarding Socher Basevich. Ifound one interesting record:
Socher son of Aizik Basevich was born and lived in townPinsk, in 1897 was arrested and sentenced, and was send to Sibiria.
I do not have information why he was arrested, but it isknown that his wife Leah daughter of Kopel followed him.
Recently I came across with another information: in Pinskat the beginning of 20 century there was a hotel of Iosel Bassevich. As itturned out the building is still exists and it is located on 27 Lenina Street. If you will ever decide to visit Belarus we will take you to Pinsk to see thebuilding.
