    Born in New York City, she had lived many years in East Windsor. Mrs. Finkelstein graduated in 1960 from New York University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism. A former editor and writer for True Confessions and Movie Magazines, she was most recently working for the State of New Jersey, Mercer County Division in Trenton as a senior probation officer for the past 20 years.

    Mrs. Finkelstein was an animal lover, volunteer and supporter of environmental, animal and humanitarian organizations. She had a great sense of adventure and loved to travel and go hiking.

    Mrs. Finkelstein will be deeply missed by her family, her husband of 43 years, Gerald of East Windsor; her daughter Amy and her husband J. Christian Fort of St. Petersburg, FL; her son Mark Finkelstein of East Windsor and his longtime girlfriend Mary Munson; her grandson Shane Fort; her sister Fran Yermack of Queens, NY; and her sister-in-law Naomi Blanck of Brooklyn, NY.

    Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. today at the Crabiel Memorial Funeral Home, 202 Stockton St., Hightstown.

    Interment will follow at Cloverleaf Memorial Park in Woodbridge.

    In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Amnesty International, USA, 5 Penn Plaza, New York, NY 10001 or Greenpeace, USA Supporter Services, 702 H Street NW, Suite 300, Washington, DC 20001.
