But, in the errata on p. 731 it says it's actually the death date of Margaret Stiles. However, on p. 86 it explicitly gives Margaret Stiles's death date as about 1726, and their children were born between 1715 and 1726. This date is therefore probably their marriage date.

He and his wife Rachel, and their children Henry and John, emigrated from England to America in 1635, when his brother Francis Stiles came to Connecticut as steward of the Saltonstall party. The group sailed from London, 16 March 1634/35, on the ship Christian, John White, Master. They arrived at Boston on 16 June 1635, stayed about ten days, then sailed to the location of what was to be the Saltonstall settlement, near what is now Windsor, Connecticut. They arrived there about 1 July 1635.6 About 1650 he bought from John Bennett "his Dwelling House, orchard, barn and home lot." in Windsor. The land measured 4 rods by 118 rods, and totaled about three acres. He soon thereafter sold this same land to Isaac Sheldon.7
His will was dated 30 May 1662 in Windsor, Connecticut. The witnesses were John Griffin and John Bancroft, and the executors were his friends Jacob Drake, John Gaylord, and John Bissell, Jr. He left everything to his wife Rachel, for as long as she remained a widow. If she were to remarry, then she was to keep 1/3, and divide the rest equally between his four children. When she died, her share was to be divided equally between the children. After his wife's death, his son Henry could keep all the land, provided he could "answer the former legacies to [his] other three children."
The inventory of his estate, taken 6 August 1662, was as follows:
Home, orchard, and barn: £34 00s
Property "on ye other side the highway," 22 acres: £22 00s
Property "9 acres of meadow": £45 00s
Corn in the ground: £10 00s

Clothing: £4 00s
Cattle: £46 00s
Bedding, linens, cushions: £13 08s

Fireplace instruments: £1 00s
"Tools, sacks, and measures": £6 02s
Household furniture, Bible, pistols: £3 02s
Equipment for the animals: £5 12s
Lumber: £2 18s
Cotton and linen cloth: £5 00s
Total assets: £222 04s
Total indebtedness: £27 19s.8

She and her husband John, and their children Henry and John, emigrated from England to America in 1635, when her husband's brother Francis Stiles came to Connecticut as steward of the Saltonstall party. The group sailed from London, 16 March 1634/35, on the ship Christian, John White, Master. They arrived at Boston on 16 June 1635, stayed about ten days, then sailed to the location of what was to be the Saltonstall settlement, near what is now Windsor, Connecticut. They arrived there about 1 July 1635.2 She was the first person to step ashore in Connecticut.3
In her husband's will, dated 30 May 1662, she was left everything, for as long as she remained a widow. If she were to remarry, then she was to keep 1/3, and divide the rest equally between their four children. When she died, her share was to be divided equally between the children, except that their son Henry could keep all the land, provided he could "answer the former legacies to [the] other three children."4
