     Amos W. Kuns was born in 1873 in Piatt Co., Illinois.² He married first Clara J. Clark, daughter of Giles A. Clark.² He married second Fannie V. Flora, daughter of Lewis Flora and Rebecca Trent, on 8 June 1930 in Carroll Co., Indiana.³ He died in 1946.² He was buried at Maple Lawn Cemetery in Carroll Co., Indiana.²

     Catharine Oaks was born on 20 June 1845.¹ She married Leonard W. Kuns, son of Lewis W. Kuns and Catharine Wolf.¹ She died on 23 November 1890 in Cerro Gordo, Piatt Co., Illinois, at age 45. (In an addendum to the Wolf / Cripe Genealogy, Baker indicates that she died in Fairview, Missouri, after which her husband Leonard moved back to Cerro Gordo).²

     Jacob Oaks was born on 7 January 1847 in Darke Co., Ohio.¹ He married first Hannah Kuns, daughter of Lewis W. Kuns and Catharine Wolf, on 24 December 1871 in Piatt Co., Illinois.¹ He married second Catharine Hoff, daughter of Lewis Hoff and Catharine Lesh.¹ He died on 4 May 1932 in Flora, Carroll Co., Indiana, at age 85.¹ He was buried at Maple Lawn Cemetery in Carroll Co., Indiana.¹

     David C. Oaks was born on 6 March 1872 in Piatt Co., Illinois.² He married Elsie May Wagoner, daughter of Joseph J. Wagoner and Elizabeth Lucy Cripe, on 31 December 1903 in Carroll Co., Indiana.² He died on 24 June 1958 in Carroll Co., Indiana, at age 86.² He was buried at Maple Lawn Cemetery in Carroll Co., Indiana.²
     He and Elsie had the following known children, all born in Carroll Co., Indiana: Harold Leon (b 15 July 1907, d 29 October 1936), Ivan Elmer (b 16 July 1910), Eileen L. (b 21 May 1914), Wayne Wagoner (b 5 November 1917, d 18 December 1919), Betty Joan.^3,4

     Catharine Oaks was born on 11 February 1876 in Milmine, Piatt Co., Illinois.² She married George Allen Krall, son of Harrison Krall and Adeline Funk, on 6 February 1898 in Hammond, Piatt Co., Illinois.² She died on 21 December 1958 in Piatt Co., Illinois, at age 82.² She was buried at Ridge Cemetery in Macon Co., Illinois.²
     She and her husband George belonged to the Old German Baptist Church.² They had the following known children: Clarence (b 29 March 1899, d 12 September 1978), John O., Lydia Hannah (b 7 June 1903, d 6 September 1935).³

     Lewis D. Oaks was born on 19 February 1879 in Piatt Co., Illinois.² He died after a long illness on 23 May 1902 in Carroll Co., Indiana, at age 23.² He was buried at Maple Lawn Cemetery in Carroll Co., Indiana.²

     Alvin J. Oaks was born on 6 October 1881.¹ He died on 10 May 1886 in Piatt Co., Illinois, at age 4.¹ He was buried at East Frantz Cemetery in Unity Twp., Piatt Co., Illinois.¹

     John S. Oaks was born on 26 December 1884 in Piatt Co., Illinois.² He married first Ruby Shaner.³ He married second Maude Barnard.^2,3 He died on 24 October 1967 in Carroll Co., Indiana, at age 82.² He was buried at Maple Lawn Cemetery in Carroll Co., Indiana.²
     He and his first wife Ruby had one child, Reva.³

     Sanford Elmer Oaks was born on 12 October 1890 in Piatt Co., Illinois.¹ He died on 24 November 1896 at age 6.¹ He was buried at East Frantz Cemetery in Unity Twp., Piatt Co., Illinois.¹

     Orville Arthur Oaks was born on 31 January 1895 in Piatt Co., Illinois.^3,2 He married Era Frances Beard on 24 December 1916.¹ He died on 23 September 1976 in Arkansas at age 81.¹ He was buried at Walnut Hill Cemetery in Baxter Co., Arkansas.⁴
     He and Era had two daughters, Eleanor Catherine and Barbara Jane.¹

     Lewis W. Kuns was born on 14 February 1880 in Fairview, Newton Co., Missouri.¹ He married Dolly Cornelius.¹ He died on 4 November 1951 at age 71.¹

     He stayed in North Dakota when his parents moved to California in 1908, and later moved to Michigan.¹ He was living in Whittier, Los Angeles Co., California, in 1932.² He and Gertrude had the following known children: Wilfred Gardner (b 13 September 1914, d February 1977), Leonard Chauncey (b 1919), Ruby Alice, Dorothea Fae.¹

     Anna Catherine Kuns was born on 15 September 1874 in Piatt Co., Illinois.³ She married first James Leonard King on 5 February 1905.³ She married second Jonathan Appleton, son of John Appleton and Matilda (?), on 11 February 1917 in Whittier, Los Angeles Co., California.³ She died on 12 March 1938 in Whittier, Los Angeles Co., California, at age 63.³
     When her parents moved to Rolette Co., North Dakota, in 1898, she filed a homestead claim there, and completed it before her first marriage in 1905.³ After her first husband James's death in 1909, she moved to Whittier, Los Angeles Co., California.³ She and James had two known children, LeRoy Leonard (b 29 December 1905) and John W.⁴

     Lydia Kuns was born in 1871 in Piatt Co., Illinois.² She married Elmer Colfax Cornelius "on Thanksgiving Day in 1897" (25 November 1897).² She died on 26 July 1932.² She was buried at Olive Grove Cemetery in Whittier, Los Angeles Co., California.²
     She and Elmer had one adopted daughter, Thelma (d bef 26 July 1932).²

     Lovina Kuns was born on 14 May 1872 in Piatt Co., Illinois.² She married Arthur P. Moore on 26 December 1897 in Piatt Co., Illinois.² She died on 31 December 1946 at age 74.²
     She lived in Decatur, Macon Co., Illinois.¹

     He moved to California about 1912.¹ He had no children.¹

     Perthena Elizabeth Kuns was born on 12 October 1886 in Fairview, Missouri.¹ She married George Edward Elstun, son of Horace Elstun and Lucinda Grossnickle, on 22 April 1925 in Whittier, Los Angeles Co., California.¹ She died on 8 July 1973 at River Bluff Convalescent Hospital in Riverbank, Stanislaus Co., California, at age 86.¹
     She and George had two known children, Catharine Lucinda (d 1932) and Morris.¹

     Catharine Metzger was born on 1 October 1864 in Kosciusko Co., Indiana.¹ She married first Leonard W. Kuns, son of Lewis W. Kuns and Catharine Wolf, on 15 October 1893.¹ She married second Adam Keister on 9 January 1921.¹ She died on 11 December 1926 in Whittier, Los Angeles Co., California, at age 62.¹
     She and her first husband Leonard moved to near Rolette, Rolette Co., North Dakota, in 1898.¹ They moved again, in 1909, to Whittier, Los Angeles Co., California.¹ They were members of the Old German Baptist Church in Whittier.¹

     James Leonard King was born on 9 July 1861 in Grant Co., Indiana.¹ He married Anna Catherine Kuns, daughter of Leonard W. Kuns and Catharine Oaks, on 5 February 1905.¹ He died on 9 August 1909 near Cerro Gordo, Piatt Co., Illinois, at age 48.¹ He was buried at East Frantz Cemetery in Unity Twp., Piatt Co., Illinois.¹
     He and Anna had two known children, LeRoy Leonard (b 29 December 1905) and John W.²
