     Alan Ellsworth Leiby was born in April 1865 in Medina Co., Ohio.2,1 He was married by R. W. Middleton to Clarissa I. Waller, daughter of Charles Marian Waller and Harriet E. Hamilton, on 20 March 1888 in Ganges, Allegan Co., Michigan.1
     His name is spelled as Allen in his marriage record.1 He and his wife Clarissa were living in Lee Twp., Allegan Co., Michigan, in 1900 and 1910. Living with them in 1910 were May Hoadley (age 19, listed as a servant and cook), James U. Gilpin (40, listed as "partner," and a merchant in patent medicine), and Grace Rutty (40, listed as a "Ward").2,3 They moved to Grand Rapids, Kent Co., Michigan, sometime before 1920.4
     His occupation was listed as farmer in the 1900 census, retail store merchant in 1910, and sheet metal maker for a furnace company in 1920.2,3,4
     He and Clarissa had the following known children, all born in Michigan: Gary A. (b December 1889), Flossie (b October 1899, d bef 1910), John G. (b abt 1902), Marie E. (b abt 1906), plus one other that was born and died before 1900.2,3

Waller, daughter of Charles Marian Waller and Harriet E. Hamilton, on 2 May 1883 in Ganges, Allegan Co., Michigan.5 He died in 1938.6 He was buried at Taylor Cemetery in Allegan Co., Michigan.6
     His name is listed as Edward in his marriage record, apparently mistakenly.5 He and his wife Alseba were living in Ganges Twp., Allegan Co., Michigan, in 1900 and 1910.1,2 They moved to Grand Rapids, Kent Co., Michigan, by 19203, then back to Ganges Twp. by 1930.4
     He worked as a painter and paper hanger in Ganges Twp. most of his life, except for a period of time around 1920 when he was a machine hand in a brass factory in Grand Rapids.1,2,4,3

Gable, son of Jacob Gable and Clarissa Hamilton, on 12 October 1884 (Lois's obituary says 4 October 1884) in Saugatuck, Allegan Co., Michigan.1,2 She died on 16 October 1936 at her home near Glenn, Allegan Co., Michigan, at age 74.2 She was buried on 18 October 1936 at Taylor Cemetery in Allegan Co., Michigan.2
     She and her husband Elmer were living in Ganges Twp., Allegan Co., Michigan, in 1900. Living with them were boarders Lewis Newton and Josie Fuller.3 In 1910 they were living in the city of Allegan in Allegan Co.4, but in 1920 and 1930 they were back in Ganges Twp.5,6
